The Chicago Bears kicked off the final phase of their offseason program with mandatory minicamp at Halas Hall, where the Bears held their second of three practices on Wednesday afternoon.
According to the media in attendance, this practice featured more situational football. Head coach Ben Johnson noted that the defense has bested the offense throughout OTAs, which is to be expected, but quarterback Caleb Williams and the offense had a bounce back day as they bested the defense during a two-minute drill.
While linebacker T.J. Edwards was back for individual drills (and cornerback Kyler Gordon spotted during stretching), they excused cornerback Jaylon Johnson and safety Elijah Hicks due to personal reasons on Wednesday.
Bears media members in attendance have been sharing snippets from Wednesday’s practice, which featured plenty of highlights of running backs and wide receivers.
