SPRINGFIELD – A hotel off Dirksen Parkway sold for over $7 million in February, according to Sangamon County parcel records.
Comfort Inn & Suites Springfield at 2620 S. Dirksen Parkway sold for $7,850,000 on Feb. 13, in a sale between Girdhar Enterprises Inc. and another local hotel operator, buyer Nilkanth Spil LLC.
Nilkanth Spil LLC registered agent on the Illinois Business Entity Search is Bhavin Patel, and address listed for the LLC is 1330 S. Dirksen Parkway – or the Super 8 by Wyndham in Springfield. The LLC was registered in October of last year with the state.
Patel also owns and operates the Super 8 by Wyndham and is president of Atmiya Inc.
The hotel was sold just as another historic hotel, the State House Inn across from the capital went up for sale in February for $5.3 million under Century 21 group.
About Comfort Inn & Suites
The 96-room hotel, originally built in 1997 by Cree Dev Corporation, has changed hands four times in the past three decades.
In August 2012, Comfort Inn & Suites was sold for $3 million at a foreclosure auction.
Mortgage holder Credit Suisse First Boston Corp. was the only bidder.
