Six Rockford-area football players set to suit up in 2026 Shrine Game

The 52nd Annual Illinois High School Shrine Game will be held at Tucci Stadium on the campus of Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington this Saturday, and six Rockford-area standouts will take the field, looking to make a name for themselves.

Kickoff is set for 11 a.m. Saturday, and the rosters were recently released, showcasing nearly 100 star athletes from Illinois. Each athlete is looking to improve their standing on the college recruiting trail.

Here is a list of the Rockford-area players who will take part in the game:

Blue Team locals

All of the players were nominated by their coaches and selected by the Illinois Football Coaches Association. The game supports Shriners Children’s Hospitals in Chicago and St. Louis.
