A 73-year-old man was found dead in Peoria on Friday, June 13.
The Peoria County Coroner’s Office was called to 1910 Northeast Jefferson Avenue at around 1:30 p.m. Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood said the man – who was discovered in a Penske truck – “had been in the truck for an extended amount of time, estimated to be greater than one month.”
Whether the man died from trauma or natural causes is unknown. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
The coroner is trying to locate family members before sharing the man’s identity.
