Highlights from first padded practice of Bears training camp

The Chicago Bears were back at training camp with their first padded practice at Halas Hall, where there were plenty of notable observations and highlights to kick off the next week of the summer.

The biggest news was safety Coby Bryant suffering an apparent left knee injury during 1-on-1s. He was covering tight end Cole Kmet when he landed awkwardly. While he tried leaving the field on his own power, he was carted off and had an emotional reaction. There has been no update on his status. Meanwhile, there were some notable updates on several position battles and standout players.
