EAST PEORIA – Longtime eatery Davis Brothers Pizza is seeking new ownership roughly four years after local restaurateur Chad Zike took over the establishment.
The restaurant will continue to operate in the meantime. Still, a June 16 announcement described the choice to look for a new owner as a “difficult decision” brought on by health and family factors.
“This decision was not made lightly,” the announcement noted. “We love Davis Brothers and the people who have supported us throughout these past four years. Thank you for your loyalty, encouragement, and belief in us.
“We hope to find the right person who shares our passion and will continue serving the community while honoring the history of Davis Brothers.”
Davis Bros. boasts a long history in the Peoria area – beginning as Davis Bros. Tap more than 75 years ago.
In 1997, Donald Davis and his wife, Lorene, opened Davis Bros. Pizza in East Peoria. The couple would eventually sell the business to Cheryl Scott, who would pass the torch to restaurateur Chad Zike in 2022.
Now, those interested in continuing the business are encouraged to reach out.
