The weekend brings a Georgia peaches and dark Bing cherries truckload sale, Cars and Coffee and Silver Screen Symphony, along with food, live music and more to the Galesburg area.

Georgia Peaches and Dark Cherries Truckload Sale

What: Shop for Georgia peaches and dark Bing cherries at this truckload sale. The peaches were  grown outside of Fort Valley Georgia, delivered direct. Available produce will include 20 lbs. of peaches for $45; 10 lbs. of cherries for $45; containers of South Dakota honey for $15; and 12 ounces of Georgia Elliot pecans for $15. Bring cash or cards.

Carol Jean and Jera Live

Sample Seminary

What: Sample the best of Seminary Street during this new monthly event held on the third Saturday of each month. Experience product demonstrations, samples and testers, freebies and maybe even mini-consultations. Every month and every business will have their own unique offering. This relaxed, walkable event invites you to try something new, learn something new and make a new connection in the community. Participation and hours vary by individual businesses.

Cars and Coffee

What: The Larson Brothers will provide live entertainment throughout the third annual event. Food Truck Taquería Jalisco on Wheels will offer great food. Bring your family, friends and your favorite ride out for a Father’s Day weekend filled with vehicles, coffee, food and live music. Whether you have a classic car, muscle car, lifted truck, sports car, motorcycle or something unique, you’re invited to bring it out and show it off.

Father’s Day Frames

What: Celebrate Father’s Day and create your own gift for Dad.

Game & Puzzle Swap

What: Bring in gently used games and puzzles to swap for some that are new-to-you. Bring games and puzzles in good condition through June 19 to the checkout desk and receive one swap ticket per item. Ticket holders are welcome at 10 a.m. to swap tickets for “new” games and puzzles. Walk-in swappers are welcome at 11 a.m. while items last. Everything will be free from noon-12:30 p.m. Items in good condition with original boxes and all pieces will be accepted.

Rock ‘n’ Roll Trivia Fundraiser

What: A limited number of tables are available to play Rock ‘n’ Roll Trivia to support Loving Bottoms Diaper Bank. If the tables are all taken, you can still come for food, themed cocktails and a silent auction.

Silver Screen Symphony

What: The Knox-Galesburg Symphony, under the baton of guest conductor Richard Cangro, brings the magic of the movies to life in Silver Screen Symphony. This cinematic celebration will feature selections from iconic film scores. Expect music by composers such as John Williams and Lalo Schifrin.

Cost: $8 for ages 3 and older; free for dads with paid child; free for children age 2 and younger

What: Stories, songs and movement activities will be geared toward kids ages 5 and younger with an adult. No registration is required.

Annual Chamber Golf Outing

What: The 33rd Annual Golf Outing has a shotgun start at 1 p.m. Stay afterward for dinner, door prizes and winner announcements. Limited number of teams of four are available. Golf, greens, cart and meal are included in registration fees.

Eatable Alphabet

What: OSF Kleine Pediatric Wellness Center presents this program that encourages children to explore healthy fresh foods with their senses while incorporating exercise, letter recognition and math skills.  This activity is open to children in preK through grade 2. Advance registration is required.

Summer Crafternoon

What: Drop in for a new craft project each week. No registration is required. The activities are designed for kids in grades K-6; kids younger than 8 must be accompanied by an adult.

Collaging Happiness into Homemade Journals

What: In partnership with Knox College’s Arts in Action course, students will host a series of workshops here. In this, participants will transform everyday materials into functional art. Explore how creativity can make daily life more organized, intentional and beautiful. Your handmade journal will become a daily companion: a space to capture your tasks, jot down recipes, doodle freely, collect your ideas and carry a small piece of your own creativity wherever you go. This workshop is open to the public and all materials are included.

Crepes for the Cause

What: A percentage of the entire earnings from June 25 -June 30, (excluding Doordash orders) will be donated to help buy meals for food-insecure seniors of Knox County.

Tween Time

What: Tweens in grades 4-6 are invited to come for crafts, games or building challenges. Advance registration is required.

Aquatots

What: Enjoy a morning at Lakeside Waterpark without the big kids (zero-depth play feature only). During this hour, you can introduce your little ones to the water. Aquatots is open to children up to age five and their parent/caregiver. Child is required to stay within arms’ length reach of their parent/caregiver. 

When: 9:30-10:30 a.m. June 24 and Wednesdays through Aug. 5 (except July 1)

Cost: $4 includes child and one parent/guardian; $4 for each additional parent/guardian
