Caleb Williams speaks on Bears fans coming together after big win

Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams’ four-touchdown performance over the Dallas Cowboys led to 2,000 free hot dogs for the city of Chicago, and a Bears fanbase appears re-energized after the team’s recent success.

After an offseason full of spending to upgrade the roster and the hiring of head coach Ben Johnson, the Bears were one of the most discussed teams as offseason winners that led to plenty of hype coming into the season.

The season did not start as well as anyone involved would’ve liked, as Chicago blew an 11-point lead to the Minnesota Vikings in Week 1 before getting blown out the following week against Johnson’s former Detroit Lions team.

Credit to Johnson and the entire Bears team for not giving up as Soldier Field was roaring throughout the Week 3 win, especially on Williams’ 65-yard flea flicker touchdown pass. When meeting with the media this week, Williams spoke about how his recent play has seemingly brought the city together, including the hot dog giveaway.

“It’s awesome. Being able to have a moment like that, kudos to (The Wiener’s Circle),” Williams said. “Then, obviously, kudos to the big guys up front, for me, and the wide receivers. It’s something fun like that. It brings excitement to everybody. And, you get free hot dogs.”

It’s a small gesture by the “Wiener’s Circle” and a big performance from Williams, as they both came together to unite and energize the Bears fanbase. After just one win, the vibes around the franchise are seemingly turning up in a big way, but in order for that excitement to stay, the wins will have to continue.
