Bears QB Caleb Williams sheds 10-15 pounds this offseason

Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams is still the Iceman, even if it looks like he’s melting a few pounds away. Williams reported to his third training camp sporting a new mustache and goatee look while also revealing he’s lost a bit of weight during the offseason.

Following Wednesday’s inaugural practice, Williams met with the media and was asked what he did differently during the offseason. “I lost some weight; I’m excited about that,” Williams said. “I’m able to move a little bit better, be smoother.” Williams went on to say he lost between 10 and 15 pounds through a mix of eating before a certain time and sleeping.

Williams was already one of the fastest quarterbacks in the league last year, recording speeds over 20 miles per hour during games. He rushed for a total of 388 yards and three touchdowns during the 2025 season. He hopes to be even more dynamic in 2026. Hopefully the change in weight helps Williams navigate the pocket even better while he maintains his strong durability going into Year 3.
