Bears open CB Jaylon Johnson's 21 day practice window

The Chicago Bears defense received big news on Friday, as their best player is close to returning to action. The Bears announced Pro Bowl cornerback Jaylon Johnson’s 21-day practice window will be open, marking a significant development in his possible return to the football field.

Johnson was placed on injured reserve due to a groin injury suffered in Week 2 against the Detroit Lions. He had been battling a groin injury all throughout training camp that kept him sidelined. After returning to action, Johnson lasted just one half before suffering another groin injury and was placed on injured reserve later in the week.

Initially, there was little optimism that Johnson would be able to return this season. Especially if the Bears were struggling, as they had started 0-2. But the veteran defensive back is primed to get back on the field for the final stretch of games as Chicago looks to push for the postseason.

Johnson will be able to practice over the next three weeks and will need to be activated by December 5th; otherwise, he will revert back to injured reserve and miss the rest of the season.
