SPRINGFIELD – Coffee fans officially have another place to grab a cup of coffee.
Cars were lined up outside of 7 Brew Drive Thru Coffee on May 26 for Caffeine for a Cause, a pre-opening event the brand hosted for customers to pay what they wanted for a drink from a limited menu. Proceeds from the sales are donated to One Mission, a pediatric cancer charity.
The 7 Brew in Springfield is the city’s first location, with 26 across the state.
Here’s everything you need to know.
Where is 7 Brew located?
The location in Springfield will be at 2599 Wabash Ave. The store will have a “Swag Day” on June 6, where customers can get a free tee-shirt with the purchase of any large drink. This will be a one-time event. The stall held a soft opening on May 22, and after opening on June 1, community hours will give Springfieldians another chance at free drinks.
Community hours run from the June 1 to June 5 will be from 8 to 9 a.m., 12 to 1 p.m. and 5 to 6 p.m. for one free drink per customer.
The brand held a “drink drop”, or free coffee packed into a car for a business which signs up, to Memorial Hospital on Memorial Day to spread the news of the stand before opening.
What is 7 Brew?
Based in Fayetteville, Arkansas, the coffee brand with a cult following was founded back in 2017 and has since expanded over 38 states. As of April 2026, there are over 701 locations nationwide. The store model has seen success for its speed, variety and fun coffee culture according to the company website.
This Springfield business falls under the franchise Brew Horizons, which franchises over 30 7 Brew locations across Alabama, Illinois, Michigan and Florida. Tim Pfaff, who oversees the New Stand Opening team for the Springfield location, said training will take place over the next five weeks for the 50 part-time employees of the stall.
“It’s part time but it’s really great work and we try to get a lot of hours,” Pfaff said. “The busier we are the more people we can have.”
What does 7 Brew sell?
The menu has a little something for anyone looking for a caffeine pick-me-up. Coffee, teas, smoothies, lemonades to fizzes are base menu items that can all be upgraded with add-ons like cold foam, creamer, syrups and whipped cream.
Dirty sodas, or pops like 7 Brew Energy drinks mixed with or layered with creamer, is also on the menu for sweet energy cravings that have been popularized by Utah-based drink chain Swig.
What will the hours of the store be?
The posted hours for the store run from 5:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday but is open later until 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturdays.
Who owns the Springfield location?
Benito Hidalgo, owner of another Brew 7 location in the state, purchased the building on Nov. 17, 2025, for more than $1 million, according to Sangamon County tax records.
