The 26th Junior River Cup is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, July 26-27 at Lick Creek Golf Club in Pekin.
The River Cup, which began in 1993, is an annual event used to promote golf in the Peoria area. It pits the best amateur golfers from Peoria, Tazewell and Woodford counties, split into two teams to represent each side of the Illinois River. The junior event began in 2000.
Team Tazwood leads the overall series 17-5, but Team Peoria is the defending champion. Here are the rosters for 2025. Captains and pairings will be released ahead of competition weekend.
2025 Junior River Cup Rosters
Team Peoria — High school: Jack Coulter, Nolan Eccles, Issac Fitzgerald, Crew Fortin, Drew Gama, Nick Herget, Carson Lott and Brayden Schleich. Junior high: Shane Cunningham, Jacob Shelby, Will Snyder and Jack Westerburg.
Team Tazwood — High school: Jacob Anderson, Court Bohannon, Grady Burrell, Colin Kemp, Gavin Schreurs, Nicholas Unes, Connor Watson and Dominic Yocum. Junior high: Lee Bolliger, Paxten Heinold, Brady Schreurs, Jonathan Sombeck
