After first responders arrived, she was transported to Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare with non-life threatening injuries.

The circumstances of the shooting were not immediately clear, and it was not known when and where the shooting took place.

There have been no arrests, there are no immediate suspects and the investigation is ongoing.

So far this year, 10 people have been killed and 24 injured in at least 28 serious shootings in the capital city and Leon County, according to a Tallahassee Democrat analysis of gun violence that tracks incidents involving injury, death or a clear risk of serious harm. Nine of those injured and one fatality have come in in the last month.

Anyone with information is asked to call TPD at 850-891-4200 or Crime Solvers at 850-574-TIPS. More information will be released as it becomes available.
