The 2026 NFL Draft will take place in Pittsburgh this week, in a city where the Bucs could select the next star they add to their roster in hopes of righting the proverbial ship. In the final days and moments ahead of the selections starting on Thursday, there are still plenty of mock drafts to sort through.
NFL Media’s Eric Edholm recently released the latest 2026 NFL mock draft of the cycle, which has the team going in the offensive direction by selecting Kenyon Sadiq out of Oregon. The lone first-round projected tight end seems like an interesting pick on the outside looking in, but Edholm makes a good argument.
Edholm explains the Sadiq pick, writing, “Zac Robinson used a lot of 12 personnel as the Falcons’ offensive coordinator last year. Now that he’s occupying that role for Tampa, Robinson could bring that package with him, with Sadiq and Cade Otton at tight end. There’s no pass rusher or linebacker available to move me off this pick.”
The Bucs offense needs some juice, and in Zac Robinson’s system it could be Sadiq who gets them over the hump.
