When is Coco Gauff's next match? French Open final time, date, TV schedule

C’est magnifique! Coco Gauff will have a chance to add to her trophy case after advancing to the French Open final. And it will be a match between the top two players in the tennis world rankings.

The Palm Beach County native took down the hometown favorite Lois Boisson, a wild card who made an incredible run to the semifinals in her first career Grand Slam appearance. Gauff overcame the 22-year-old and the passionate French crowd a day after dispatching a fellow Florida woman in Madison Keys to move on to her second final at Roland Garros.

The 21-year-old superstar from Delray Beach now plays in her third Grand Slam final. Standing in the way for the No. 2 player in the world is No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka, who earlier in the day beat Iga Swiatek, a four-time champion on the red clay. Gauff and Sabalenka have tangled 10 times before, including the 2023 U.S. Open that marked Gauff’s first Grand Slam title.

Here’s what to know about the French Open women’s final, including the start time, date and how to watch on TV and streaming:

Did Coco Gauff win today?

Yes. Coco Gauff won her semifinal match in straight sets over Lois Boisson, the 361st-ranked player in the world who took the French Open by storm with upset wins over No. 3 Jessica Pegula and No. 6 Mirra Andreeva. The No. 2 player made quick work of her, though, winning 6-1, 6-2 in a little over than hour.

Gauff had a rough match in her quarterfinal win over Madison Keys with 10 double faults and 41 unforced errors. But she was much clearer against Boisson, converting on 6 of 7 break opportunities and making only 15 unforced errors.

When does Coco Gauff play next?

Next up for Gauff is the French Open final, scheduled to begin no earlier than 9 a.m. ET (that’s 3 p.m. in Paris) on Saturday, June 7. The match will be broadcast on TNT and can be streamed on Sling.

Who does Coco Gauff play next at French Open?

Awaiting Gauff in the final is Aryna Sabalenka, the No. 1 player in the WTA rankings. The Belarus native took Iga Swiatek, the three-time reigning champion at Roland Garros, to three sets and destroyed her for a 7-6 (1), 4-6, 6-0 victory. Sabalenka will be making her first appearance in the French Open final and her seventh final this year (she’s 3-3 in championship matches).

Gauff and Sabalenka have split their previous career meetings 5-5. Sabalenka won their prior matchup this year, a 6-3, 7-6 (3) win in the Madrid Open final in May. She also won their showdown at the 2024 Australian Open semifinal, which followed Gauff’s three-set win at the 2023 U.S. Open for the American’s first (and so far only) Grand Slam title.
