Florida is kicking off the back-to-school season with a month of tax-free shopping on school supply items, giving parents time to prep 10 days ahead of the school start date.
In Duval County, school starts on August 11, and the back-to-school sales tax holiday will be held from Aug. 1 through Aug. 31 in 2025.
“With the new school year just around the corner, Florida families can save on back-to-school shopping during the tax holiday for the entire month of August,” DeSantis said via email.
