What is Breeze Airways' cancellation policy? Here's how to cancel amid Fourth of July rain

Fireworks won’t be the only thing expected up the skies this Fourth of July weekend.

The National Hurricane Center continuing to track a disturbance over Florida that is expected to bring heavy rainfall across the west-central Florida coast, regardless of development into a tropical or subtropical depression.

According to an 8 a.m. tropical weather outlook, chances of formation have increased to low at 20 percent through the next 48 hours and to a medium risk at 60 percent in the next 7 days.

If you’re planning on flying Breeze Airways for the holiday weekend and are thinking of canceling your flight, here’s what to know.

What is Breeze Airways’ cancellation policy?

Breeze Airways gives guests the option to change or cancel flights and rental car reservations up toan hour before scheduled departure. All fares are nonrefundable unless you’ve purchased the fully refundable add-on, but you can still receive flight credit for the full fare and any add-ons.

However, if you book a reservation at least seven days in advance and cancel it within 24 hours of booking, you are eligible for a full refund.

When will I get my refund on Breeze Airways’ flights?

Refunds for reservations that qualify can take 7 business days to show back in your account, depending on your bank.

For reservations not eligible for a refund, the flight credits can take up to 24 hours to show in your Breezy Rewards Account.

You will receive an email to the address linked to the reservation upon cancellation and all bags or seats on the reservation will be canceled and issued as BreezePoints.
