(Editor’s note: Round 1 of the BMW Championship was suspended due to darkness with just Bud Cauley facing a long birdie putt on the 18th hole remaining. The second round will begin as scheduled as Cauley will finish the 18th at 11 a.m. before starting his second round.)
Rain slowed down the first round of the BMW Championship. Will Round 2 be any drier?

Perhaps a bigger question: Can anything cool off Scottie Scheffler? The holder of two major championships and top PGA Tour money winner in 2025 tied for third in the first leg of the FedEx Cup playoffs, and he had another strong day to kick off the second, shooting 4 under par. Maybe Robert MacIntyre can: He’s atop the leaderboard after shooting an 8-under 62. Tommy Fleetwood, Viktor Hovland and Ben Griffin also got off to good starts.
Rickie Fowler ended Round 1 at 3 under, rocketing him up the FedEx Cup points standings. His hot streak could vault him into the season-ending Tour Championship if he can keep it up.
