THE DISH Palm Beach chef to appear at food festival in the Hamptons

After participating in Colorado’s Aspen Food & Wine Classic in June, a longtime Palm Beach private chef and caterer now is set to cook at food festivals elsewhere this summer.

Jennifer Parker, founder and executive chef of Palm Beach-based Evolved Catering & Events (EvolvedCateringService.com), plans to showcase her signature Florida blue-crab dumplings at a July festival in East Hampton, Long Island.

After July 23’s Chefs of the Hamptons event at EHP Resort & Marina, she’ll serve as a judge at East Hampton’s Grill Hampton on Aug. 8.

Once summer concludes, Parker will take part in other food events, including the Nov. 13-15 Food & Wine Classic in Charleston, South Carolina.

Such events, she said, are an extension of her culinary philosophy rooted in hospitality and sense of place.

“My food is inspired by destinations where people truly understand how to live well,” Parker told the Palm Beach Daily News. “Whether it’s Palm Beach, Aspen, Capri, Saint-Tropez or the Hamptons, there’s a shared appreciation for beauty, hospitality and creating memorable experiences around a table.”

Along with her blue-crab dumplings, Parker is known for other dishes celebrating Florida ingredients, such as Key lime-accented lobster tail.

In addition to Evolved Catering & Events, the chef founded other businesses, including a pop-up dinner series and a mobile caviar bar for weddings and other affairs.

Although food festivals outside Florida dot her calendar, Palm Beach is a home base Parker values.

“It’s a community that appreciates quality, creativity and experiences that bring people together. I’m proud to represent Palm Beach wherever I go,” she said.
