The 2024-25 high school athletic season has been the subject for the first month of TCPalm’s Summer Celebration series.
Now, it’s time for a blast from the past.
Twenty-five years into the 2000s is an ideal time to take a look at the athletes that once regularly graced the Treasure Coast before exploding onto the national scene.
There’s been plenty of high-end talent that have honed their skills in this area, but these 11 are record-breakers, all-stars, hall-of-famers, National, Super Bowl and World Series champions.
We want to know who is the very best of the local elite from the past quarter century. And like the previous editions of this series, we put the power in your hands.
In the previous poll, Fort Pierce Central flag football Adrienne Rivera was voted the top girls athlete for the 2024-25 athletic calendar with 62.65 percent of the vote. This poll is set to close at 12 p.m. Friday.
*Note: Each other played at least one season for a St. Lucie, Martin, Indian River or Okeechobee County high school since 2000.
