Second 7 Brew Coffee planned off North Davis Highway

A new 7 Brew Coffee could come to the Ferry Pass Plaza off North Davis Highway after a development proposal to build another coffee shop was filed with Escambia County this week.

The developers behind the proposal want to build a 540-square-foot building, along with two drive-through lanes, a 230-square-foot cooler and eight parking spots for employees. They plan to build the coffee shop in the parking lot of the plaza at 8102 N. Davis Highway next to the plaza’s CVS convenience store.

The project is in the early stages of the development review process with Escambia’s Development Review Committee (DRC), but if approved would be the second 7 Brew Coffee on North Davis Highway.

The proposal was filed with Escambia County on June 23 by the Bowman Consulting Group on behalf of Red Sky/7Crew, LLC. The Bowman Consulting Group is an engineering firm whose local branches have worked with 7 Brew Coffee to build multiple coffee shops between Escambia and Santa Rosa counties.

There are now four unapproved 7 Brew Coffee shops proposals between Escambia and Santa Rosa counties.

The 7 Brew Coffee national franchise started in 2017 in Rogers, Arkansas and has grown to over 400 locations nationwide since its founding.

The chain kicked off its expansion into Florida with a Crestview store in 2023 and have planned to extend their footprint to the Pensacola region since January 2024, when they filed plans for the North Davis Highway location that’s open now.

7 Brew Coffee opened its first Pensacola location at 5305 N. Davis Highway at the beginning of the year and another location at 6556 Caroline Street in Milton in early June, which is their first location in Santa Rosa County.

7 Brew Coffee has opened 27 locations across the Sunshine State since 2023.

7 Brew Coffee Pensacola expansion

There’s another 7 Brew location planned for Escambia County too, aside from the Ferry Pass Plaza proposal, which is planned off of Nine Mile Road in Ensley.

A week after opening their first Pensacola store, 7 Brew filed plans with the county to demolish and replace a former auto sales business at 300 E. Nine Mile Road that is located next to Dunkin’ Donuts. That store hasn’t been approved, however.

7 Brew Coffee Santa Rosa County expansion

Santa Rosa’s next 7 Brew Coffee shop is coming to Gulf Breeze and it will be located at 3876 Gulf Breeze Parkway next to a Panda Express.

Two more 7 Brew Coffee shops are proposed for Santa Rosa County, but neither project has received a development order by the time of writing. One is proposed at 4880 U.S. 90 in Pace, while the other is planned at 8534 Navarre Parkway in Navarre.

While neither project has been approved, both received updated feedback from Santa Rosa County officials in June regarding their plans.
