Sebastian man killed in Barefoot Bay motorcycle crash

MICCO — A 71-year-old motorcyclist from Sebastian was killed Saturday after veering off the road and striking a guardrail on U.S. 1 near Barefoot Bay, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The deadly single-vehicle crash happened about 12:05 p.m. June 12 at the intersection of U.S. 1 and Barefoot Boulevard.

Investigators said the unidentified motorcyclist was traveling northbound on U.S. 1 north of Barefoot Boulevard when the motorcycle rolled off the road and struck a nearby guardrail.

The man, who was not wearing a helmet, was pronounced dead at the scene. FHP did not disclose the man’s name.
