A small plane crashed April 12 near Marco Island, officials say.
Collier County emergency dispatchers received a call around 12:18 p.m. about a plane that had crashed along Mainsail Drive, near Marco Island Executive Airport, 2005 Mainsail Drive.
The pilot was not injured, said Andrea Jones, a Sheriff’s Office spokesperson.

The plane, co-owned by William H. Miller, departed Lake City Gateway Airport at 9:06 a.m. April 12, bound for Marco, said FlightAware. The three-hour flight reached a maximum 5,600 feet high with a top speed of about 120 mph, FlightAware said.
The flight-tracking company also said the plane landed on Marco at 12:15 p.m.
The plane is a fixed-wing, single-engine white Cessna C150 Commuter with red trim and markings.
Miller lives in Live Oak, which is in north Florida.
Small plane crash after leaving Marco in February
It was the second crash in the last couple months associated with a plane departing the Marco airport.
Authorities on Feb. 15 rescued two people after witnesses reported they saw an aircraft in the water.
The small private plane crashed near the Florida Everglades less than an hour after it left Marco Island Executive Airport, officials said.
