The came dressed as a bride and groom, a “cheeseburger in paradise,” Little Red Riding Hood’s grandmother and even The Colony Hotel.
Attired pets and their proud owners arrived from near and far to walk the runway at Worth Avenue on a recent sunny Saturday for the annual Pet Parade.

The Worth Avenue Association hosted the 33rd installment of the annual event on March 14 in Via Amore. Sherry Frankel of Sherry Frankel’s Melangerie was the mistress of ceremonies.
Organizers were pleased by the blue skies and breeze, after forecasters called for rain earlier in the week. Costumes were colorful and creative in the event that has become a favorite to kick off spring on the island.
The pups were split into three groups based on their size of small, medium or large, and then judged in four categories: Best in Show, Most Obedient, Most Creative and Most Unique.
In the large group, a 9-month-old golden retriever named Banks, owned by Brittany Buccieri of Naples, took home Best in Show. Most Obedient went to basset hounds Mollie and Mario Redling of Basking Ridge, New Jersey. An 8-year-old yellow lab named Dalton, owned by Kandace Chewning of Jupiter, won Most Creative. Most Unique went to Reef, an Australian shepherd owned by Dorian and Kiana Esparza of Wellington.
In the medium group, Copernicus, a mini-Australian shepherd owned by Natalie and Eric Ross of Palm Beach Gardens, earned Best in Show honors. Nevaeh, a poodle-cocker spaniel mix, belonging to Debra Tomarin of Palm Beach won Most Obedient. The award for Most Unique went to Sophie, a miniature golden doodle owned by Heather Jones of West Palm Beach. A Portuguese water dog named Gracie, owned by Mike and Holli Weber of Tequesta, won Most Creative.
For the small group, Betsey the pug, owned by Lisa Kerner of Port St. Lucie, won Best in Show. Another pug, Lucy owned by Robin MacPherson of North of Palm Beach, took home the award for Most Obedient. Palm Beacher Rosemary Bellinger’s Princess Leia, a Shih Tzu, won Most Creative, and Dea Wilson’s pomeranian, Lily, of West Palm Beach won Most Unique.
The competition between the cats resulted in a tie. The winners were IO2 and Emmy, Norwegian forest cats owned by Sara De Los Reyes of Miami Beach; and Marshmallow, a ragdoll owned by Anna Yap of Port St. Lucie.
