Pensacola is offering discounts on parking. Here's how to take advantage of all the offers

Pensacola is set to roll out its new discount parking program for city residents on Oct 1.

Residents will get a discounted rate of 50 cents an hour, versus the $1 an hour everyone else pays, plus no transaction fees. There will be no discount for using cash at the pay kiosk stations throughout the city.

Additionally, residents aged 65 and over can apply for senior permits for $10 a month, which allow city residents to park downtown without having to use the app or pay cash.

The city is also rolling out other parking permits for both residents and non-residents who frequent downtown Pensacola.

“We’re committed to creating a parking system that works for everyone,” Mayor D.C. Reeves said in a city press release. “These new programs are about supporting our residents and seniors, while making it easier and more affordable for them to enjoy everything our city has to offer.”

All permits can be registered for by visiting ParkPensacola.com starting Oct. 1.

Here’s everything you need to know to sign up for the programs.

City Resident SeniorPass

The new $10 a month permit is for city residents 65 and up, and gives the ability to park in all city-owned spaces without having to pay or interact with any parking app.

Other parking permit options also rolling out on Oct. 1

The new permit system the city is rolling out will also enable bringing back previous parking permits that have been on pause, and new ones the city hasn’t previously offered.

The city said these updates are designed to make parking more accessible and affordable, while providing flexible options to meet the diverse needs of Pensacola residents.

There are a limited number of permits available, so residents are encouraged to apply early.
