PBI Airport begins process of name change to Trump, see photos

Palm Beach International Airport (PBI) in West Palm Beach will officially be renamed for President Donald Trump in July.

According to the airport’s operator, the move is in response to a Florida law passed in March that requires the name to be updated to President Donald J. Trump International Airport.

An FAQ on the airport’s website says that final approval of the change is expected to come from the Federal Aviation Administration on July 9, but adds that it may take longer for signage and other information to be updated.

“Although the required name change will become effective July 9, 2026, transition activities, including updates to signage, branding and public‑facing materials, will occur in phases,” the FAQ says. “Airport operations and services will continue without interruption.”
