Parker High School football announces new coach for 2026

Parker announced Ronald Hendricks as the school’s next high school football coach, continuing a off-season of change across the coaching ranks in Jacksonville.

Hendricks enters following the three-year tenure of Michael Holloway, who had led the Braves since June 2023. Holloway, previously a defensive assistant at Parker in addition to his role at track coach, compiled a 10-19 record with the Braves.

This will be the first Gateway Conference high school head coaching position for Hendricks, who most recently served as football coach and athletic director at Ribault Middle School.

The Arlington school has found the road rocky on the gridiron in recent decades, and last recorded consecutive seasons above .500 since 1995 and 1996. Since 2000, the Braves’ only finishes above .500 are 2006 and 2008 under Greg Stanton, 2019 and 2021 under Char-ron Dorsey and 2024 under Holloway.

With the introduction of Hendricks, more than a dozen high schools across Northeast Florida have changed football coaches during the FHSAA off-season.

Parker, which ended at 2-7 in 2025, is scheduled to compete in the realigned Florida High School Athletic Association District 3-3A in 2026 and 2027 alongside Bishop Kenny and reigning state champion Raines.
