Palm Beach offices closed Dec. 24–25, Dec. 31–Jan. 1 for holidays

Palm Beach Town Hall will be closed Dec. 24–25 and Dec. 31–Jan. 1 in observance of Christmas and New Year’s holidays.

Here are the closings and operation times for town facilities and services.

Dec. 24

Marina and recreation facilities:

Town Marina: 8 a.m. to noon

Par 3 Golf Course: 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (range closes at 1 p.m.) 

Phipps Ocean Park Racquet Center: 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Seaview Park Tennis Center: 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Mandel Recreation Center: Closed.

Public beaches: Lifeguards on duty 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Garbage and recycling:

Residential garbage and recycling and commercial garbage service will operate as usual.

Dec. 25 (Christmas Day)

All recreation facilities will be closed, including the Town Marina.

Garbage and recycling:

Seven-day commercial garbage service only.

Dec. 31

Marina and recreation facilities:

Town Marina: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Par 3 Golf Course: 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. (range closes at 4 p.m.) 

Phipps Ocean Park Racquet Center: 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Seaview Park Tennis Center: 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Mandel Recreation Center: 6:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Public beaches: Lifeguards on duty 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Garbage and recycling:

Residential and commercial garbage as well as residential and commercial recycling services will operate as usual.

Jan. 1 (New Year’s Day)

Marina and recreation facilities:

Town Marina: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Par 3 Golf Course: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. (range closes at 5 p.m.) 

Phipps Ocean Park Racquet Center: 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Seaview Park Tennis Center: 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Mandel Recreation Center: 6:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Public beaches: Lifeguards on duty 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Garbage and recycling:

Residential and commercial garbage as well as residential and commercial recycling services will operate as usual.

Yard trash

Dec. 22: Monday and Tuesday routes 

Dec. 23: Tuesday and Wednesday routes 

Dec. 24: Wednesday and Thursday routes 

Dec. 25: No service 

Dec. 26: Service as usual

Dec. 29: Monday and Tuesday routes

Dec. 30: Tuesday and Wednesday routes

Dec. 31: Wednesday and Thursday routes

Jan. 1: No service

Jan. 2: Service as usual

Construction and landscaping

No construction work is permitted from Dec. 24 through Jan. 1.

Landscaping will be permitted on Dec. 24 and Dec. 31 from 7:30 a.m. to noon, and will be limited to quiet lawn maintenance only.

All parking rules remain unchanged during the holidays. 

The town’s Architectural Commission shifted its monthly meeting from Dec. 24 to Dec. 19 because of the Christmas holiday.

For emergencies during the holiday period, call 911. For non-emergencies, call the town’s non-emergency phone line at 561-838-5454. 

The town asks that ornaments, tinsel and lights be removed before placing Christmas trees out with yard debris.
