The latest Florida Statewide Assessment scores for districts and schools around the state are in and Palm Beach County public schools saw an improvement from last school year.
More than 60% of Florida students either met or exceeded grade-level benchmarks in state testing, Gov. Ron DeSantis announced during a June 26 morning news conference at Lakeland High School.
DeSantis said Florida students have made significant gains in English language, arts, and mathematics as a result of the statewide progressive monitoring system that was launched five years ago.
The governor abolished the state’s former end-of-year Florida Statewide Assessment in 2021. In its place, the state began to use the Florida Assessment of Student Thinking, or FAST — progressive exams taken at the beginning, middle and end of each school year to track students’ progress toward goals.
Palm Beach County District schools had a score of 203, with 59% of students passing in the 2025-26 school year compared to a score of 201, with 57% passing in the 2024-25 school year.
