The final day of the USA Track and Field Outdoor Championships inside Icahn Stadium saw a pair of Florida Gators earn top-five finishes.
Parker Valby, a five-time NCAA individual champion in events of 3,000 meters or longer, made her first appearance at the USATF Outdoor Championships on Sunday. The rising redshirt senior took an early lead in the women’s 5000-meter run before finishing third with a time of 15:06.25.
Claire Bryant, an eight-time All-American and 2025 World Indoor champion who was a senior last season, qualified for the finals on her last attempt of the opening round in the long jump with a mark of 6.54m/21-5.50 (-1.3). The world’s eighth-ranked woman in the event ultimately finished fourth, scoring a leap of 6.77m/22-2.50 (-0.7) in her final attempt.
Overall, the Orange and Blue recorded four top-five finishes and two medals, with Malcolm Clemons opening the meet with a silver in the men’s long jump on day one and Valby joining him on Sunday with her bronze.
