Vote no for any bond referendum

As I stated before, there is no need for a bond referendum for the voters to approve. A project is presented to council for their review, if they approve the project. That is when staff proceeds to get the project shovel ready and when that is completed the city manager can proceed to procure a Bond to fund the projects.

Caxambas CT Bridge: FY27

My recommendation is to rehabilitate, since the Bridge is not heavily traveled since it only used by 30 plus residents.

Goldenrod Bridge: FY29

No other bonds should be considered since all other items should be covered by the general fund revenue for the budgeted five-year CIP.

Note: Darrin Palumbo’s general obligation bond option for reconsideration must be rejected (vote no) by council for the following reason:

This general obligation bond is a general fund expenditure which is outside of the spending cap. A special assessment tax will be charged to taxpayers in addition to ad valorem taxes. It circumvents the spending cap allowing the city to spend more money than the spending cap would allow.

In the past the city had a general obligation bond when we purchased the Glon property (now Veterans Park) with a special assessment. That was not a general operation expenditure!

Councilors, do you want to decide? Or should the voters decide?

Vote no on SAVE Act

President Trump wants the ‘Save Act’ to put a projected possible 24 million Republicans, Democrats, and Independents, in a position to be unable to cast their votes. The primary purpose of the Save Act is to disenfranchise you regardless of Your Political affiliation.

President Trump has consistently put out blatant untruths about election fraud in our elections. He has been disproven over and over again in our state and federal courts.

Again, Republicans, independents and Democrats, let your senators know that the president is telling untruths and urge them not to vote for the Save Act.

Quite frankly, President Trump knows why he is spreading these untruths about election fraud. He is convinced that he can’t win without cheating. And Mr. President, as you should know, that is not funny either.
