JetBlue Airways is ending a route at Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) in Fort Myers to direct more of its resources to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL).
Additionally, the low-cost airline is ending a Vero Beach airport route, service to Antigua in the Caribbean, and dropping Daytona Beach International Airport entirely “to free up aircraft time and redeploy those planes into Fort Lauderdale,” JetBlue stated in a memo.
“JetBlue has announced plans to grow to 150 daily flights in Fort Lauderdale,” the company said in an official release. “To enable our expansion there, we are ending service on several underperforming routes in other parts of our network, freeing up aircraft availability for our new Fort Lauderdale flights.”
According to the memo, service will end Sept. 9.
Conversely, Avelo Airlines, Breeze Airways and Allegiant Air have added flights at the Fort Myers airport.

JetBlue dropping flight at Fort Myers airport (RSW)
At Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) in Fort Myers, JetBlue dropped one seasonal route.
The airline is ending daily winter service between Providence, Rhode Island airport (PVD) and Fort Myers (RSW).
JetBlue added the seasonal route in October 2024.
