The Jacksonville Jaguars have released their final injury report of Week 1 and included are three players with injury designations.
Cornerback Montaric Brown (ankle) and offensive lineman Wyatt Milum (knee) are both ruled out for Sunday’s game. Neither practiced during the week.
Offensive lineman Cole Van Lanen is questionable. He is working through a shoulder injury that he sustained early on in training camp and was limited during his three days of practice.
With Brown sidelined, the Jaguars could elevate either Keni-H Lovely or Jabbar Muhammad from the practice squad on Saturday to bolster the cornerback depth.
I fully anticipate a practice squad elevation at the offensive line position with Milum out. The tell on whether Van Lanen will play or not could be if two offensive linemen are elevated. If the Jaguars are without both Milum and Van Lanen, that leaves them with only seven linemen on the 53-man roster, and that’s nowhere near enough depth.
Without Brown for most of training camp, Jarrian Jones took those outside cornerback reps opposite of Tyson Campbell. Travis Hunter is an option as well.
Chuma Edoga could end up being the first guard and tackle off the bench, depending on Van Lanen’s availability. If Van Lanen can go, he’s a swing tackle option for the Jaguars.
