The preliminaries are over and regardless of how good a Jacksonville Jaguars player or positon group may have looked in the first four days of training camp, a new phase begins on July 28 when the team will practice in full pads for the first time.
That means several questions might on the way to being answered:
Has the offensive and defensive lines improved over last year?
How will first-round draft pick Travis Hunter hold up trying to play both sides of the ball?
Will rookie running back Bhayshul Tuten hit holes and break into the clear like he’s done in helmets and shorts?
Will this be a more physical football team?
The Jaguars practiced in shorts and small shoulder pads on Sunday, July 27, on the hottest day of the preseason so far. The forecast for July 28 is expected to be even hotter and going to full pads could make it a very long and rugged two hours or so.
