Miami Dolphins cornerback Jack Jones left a joint practice with the Chicago Bears on a cart Friday, but he made sure fans didn’t fret about his injury long.
Shortly after the work in Chicago ended, Jones posted on social media that it was “just a cramp” that cut his day short.

Jones, who signed with the Dolphins in July, was a standout in the joint practice prior to his injury. Reporters noted the cornerback delivered a couple big hits against Bears players, including a tackle in the backfield. However, it was a rough practice overall for the Dolphins, who especially struggled on offense against the Chicago defense.
With the Dolphins get plenty of rough reviews for their performance in practice Friday, Jones had a message for fans who were down on the team.
Jones has been a high energy addition to the roster in his first weeks with the Dolphins and warned the rest of the league in July “lit a fire under” him.
The former New England Patriots and Las Vegas Raiders defensive back appeared in 42 games and started 21 in his first three NFL seasons. He has four career pick sixes, which ranks fourth among all active players.
