There’s no denying it’s been hot in Florida, with heat index numbers getting as high as 107.

So National Slurpee Day comes at the perfect time, along with an additional, special offer for your tongue.

Yes, you read that right!

Today, 7-11, or July 11, is when 7-Eleven celebrates its birthday by giving away a free small Slurpee.

This year you can also get a tongue tattoo.

Don’t worry, it’s both temporary and edible.

Get free Slurpee at 7-Eleven on … July 11, aka 7/11

Slurpee Day is Friday, July 11.

The free small Slurpee will be available at participating 7-Eleven, Speedway or Stripes stores today only.

Get another free Slurpee if you’re rewards member

If you’re a 7Rewards and Speedy Rewards member, use rewards at checkout on Slurpee Day to receive another free small Slurpee.

The additional Slurpee is redeemable through July 31.

‘Show your true colors’ with tongue tattoo on Slurpee Day

Select stores nationwide will have “edible temporary Tongue-Toos featuring the iconic Slurpee “S” for rewards members at checkout!” 7-Eleven said on its website.

The Tongue-Toos are available for 7Rewards and Speedy Rewards members at select locations.

7-Eleven celebrating 98th birthday in 2025

7-Eleven started in 1927 from the dock of an ice house, in Dallas, Texas.

In the 1950s, new stores opened in Florida, Maryland, Virginia and Pennsylvania but it wasn’t until 1963 that the first 7-Eleven stayed open all night, accommodating students in Austin, Texas.

“The 24/7 idea is a hit and soon catches on in other locations.”

In 1965, the 7-Eleven launched the Slurpee.

Today, it has more than 85,000 stores in 19 countries, including 1,019 in Florida, according to data company scrapehero.
