The FSU baseball team has added another player through the transfer portal. Former Georgia Bulldogs outfielder Ty Peeples committed to the Seminoles on Thursday, announcing the news on social media.
Peeples was a major recruit in 2025 out of Lavonia, Georgia, and appeared in 32 games as a true freshman for the Bulldogs, making one start. He went 5-17 at the plate with two doubles, three RBI, and nine runs scored. He walked and struck out six times.
He stole three bases and made one error in the outfield, finishing with an .889 fielding percentage. He is the first outfielder that FSU has added in the portal this offseason and will challenge for a starting spot.
Peeples was taken in the 20th round of the 2025 MLB Draft by the Toronto Blue Jays. Perfect Game ranked him as the No. 10 outfielder and the No. 1 player in Georgia in the 2025 class.
He is FSU’s third transfer commitment so far, joining pitcher Cameron Suchy and two-way slugger Jackson McKenzie. While his playing time was limited at Georgia, the Seminoles will look to tap into Peeple’s potential.
