Oxbridge Academy softball has never won a state championship, but they get another shot at the prize.
After falling to King’s Academy in the district title game, the Thunderwolves roared back in regional play, avenging that loss with a win against the Lions in the regional semifinals to keep the season going.
Now, they find themselves one win away from the program’s first state title appearance since 2017.
Oxbridge Academy will play in the Class 2A state semifinals on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Boombah-Soldiers Creek Park in Longwood, Florida, with a chance to advance to the state championship on Thursday, May 20.
In addition to the Thunderwolves’ redemption victory against King’s Academy, they also took down Westminster Christian and John Carroll Catholic to reach toe semifinals.
