The No. 6 FSU softball team is looking to extend their 14-game winning streak and stay perfect in ACC play when the Virginia Cavaliers come to Tallahassee, Florida this weekend for a three-game series at JoAnne Graf Field.
FSU (44-5, 9-0 ACC) is arguably the hottest team in the country and has plenty of momentum after beating the No. 4 Florida Gators 4-0 on Wednesday. Jahni Kerr provided all of the offense, hitting two homers and firing up the fanbase.
The Seminoles have one of the best offenses in the ACC, leading the conference in batting average (.370), hits (390), on-base percentage (.455), slugging percentage (.619), and runs (314). The pitching staff has also been excellent, posting an ACC-leading 2.09 ERA and holding opponents to a .223 batting average.
Virginia (26-10, 7-5 ACC) is coming into the game with some momentum having won their last two games, snapping a three-game losing streak. They have struggled on the road this season, going 2-6 in road games.
