The 153rd Open will be held at Royal Portrush, Northern Ireland July 17-20.
The PGA Tour’s final major of 2025 has seen its share of professional golfers who live in Palm Beach County hoist the Claret Jug.
For that matter, if you add up all the majors won by those who now call Palm Beach County (and Jupiter Island) home, that total would come to an amazing 81. Of course, 33 of those were won by Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods.
Here is a list of all those local golfers and how many majors they have on their resumes:
Major golf championships won by Palm Beach County area pro golfers
Jack Nicklaus, 18
The Golden Bear won six Masters, five PGAs, four U.S. Opens and three (British) Opens. His first major was the 1962 U.S. Open and his last majors championship was the 1986 Masters.
