Part of Scenic Highway closed as PFD fights brush fire

The Pensacola Fire Department, with aid from the Pensacola Police Department, is fighting a brush fire along Scenic Highway Wednesday.

The PPD said April 22 that they are assisting the PFD with traffic control and have closed down Scenic Highway just south of Scenic Court after a brush fire broke out nearby.

Motorists and residents of the area area asked to seek an alternate route until responders open the road and clear the fire.
