Florida football beat out Georgia, LSU, Auburn and Tennessee to land four-star offensive tackle Kennedee Jackson.
The 6-foot-6-inch, 300-pound Lithonia, Georgia, native is the No. 18 commitment for new head coach Jon Sumrall and the Gators. Securing the top-200 prospect lifts Florida’s recruiting class to No. 3 overall according to the 247Sports composite team rankings, with Jackson being the No. 13 blue-chip recruit for the Orange and Blue as reported by On3.
After the program lost two long-time starters to the NFL, Jackson’s commitment continues Florida’s push to restack elite players along the line of scrimmage. The Gators have already secured blue-chip commitments from several coveted prospects up front, including five-star offensive lineman Maxwell Hiller, four-star offensive lineman Peyton Miller, and four-star OL Elijah Hutchenson. Jackson is a praised addition to Phil Trautwein’s unit as the program looks to reestablish itself in the SEC with elite play in the trenches.
Kennedee Jackson’s recruiting summary
Jackson is slated at No. 135 overall and No. 14 at his position according to the 247Sports composite, while the Rivals industry rankings have him ranked at Nos. 139 and 14, respectively. Jackson had 26 total offers, including six SEC programs, among them Texas, LSU, Georgia and Auburn.
