The FSU Seminoles have added a new member to their 2027 recruiting class in four-star safety Jernard Albright, who they flipped from the South Carolina Gamecocks on Sunday. He unexpectedly officially visited the program over the weekend, and the Seminoles were able to capitalize.
While he is listed as a safety, FSU has been recruiting him as a linebacker, with Ernie Sims leading the charge. He gives FSU two four-star linebacker commits, joining Gregory Batson. They are two of FSU’s three-highest-ranked commits, with Albright surpassing four-star edge Anthony Cavallaro as their top-ranked commit.
He is ranked as the No. 169 overall player and No. 12 safety in the 247Sports composite. The 6-foot-2, 205-pounder is also the No. 17 player from Georgia.
FSU’s recruiting class is focused on the defensive side of the ball, with six of its commits expected to play on defense. Their six highest-rated commits are also defensive players, including all three of their four-star commitments.
The Seminoles now have eight total commitments and have the No. 53 recruiting class in the country according to the 247Sports team rankings. Here is how FSU’s recruiting class compares to the rest of the ACC.
