After a week away, it is once again time for the No. 9 Florida State Seminoles (2-0) to play football.
They are welcoming the Kent State Golden Flashes to Doak Campbell Stadium on Saturday in what is another sell-out. It is the first time the two programs have ever played, and it should give the Seminoles another chance to get valuable experience against an overmatched opponent before the start of ACC play.
Kent State is 1-2 to start the season and is looking to snap two losing streaks. They have not won a road game or beat an FBS opponent since 2022, they went 1-23 in the 2023 and 2024 seasons combined.

Despite their poor record, FSU head coach Mike Norvell is impressed with the growth he has seen from them since the start of the season.
“So when you see them and the way they approach that game and the improvement they made coming off the Texas Tech to the Buffalo game, creating takeaways, explosive plays, you see them utilizing personnel in a variety of ways it’s a team that’s getting better. Came up a little bit short in the game there in the game against Buffalo, but you saw a very competitive matchup and a team that’s taking positive steps,” he said on Monday.
Here is an early look at the betting odds and predictions for Saturday’s game between FSU and Kent State.

FSU 52, Kent State 10: The Seminoles are the significantly better team and have shown they do not mess around with an inferior opponent. Expect the offense to have another big game and the defense to dominate Kent State.
