The 2025 college football season is nearly here and that means it is almost time for the ACC Kickoff event to preview the season.
The FSU Seminoles announced on Thursday that quarterback Tommy Castellanos, defensive lineman Darrell Jackson Jr., defensive back Earl Little Jr., and offensive lineman Richie Leonard IV will join head coach Mike Norvell at the annual event. The event is set to take place from July 22-24 at the Hilton Charlotte Uptown in Charlotte, North Carolina and the Seminoles will speak on the 23rd.
Castellanos is entering his first season with the Seminoles after spending the past two seasons at Boston College. He attended the event last year as one of their representatives. He is a dynamic athlete with the ball in his hand who is capable of creating big plays with his arm or legs, making him an ideal fit for FSU’s new offense under Gus Malzahn.
Little is entering his second season with the program after starting his career at Alabama. He played in all 12 games last year but struggled at the start before playing better after switching to safety. Leonard is entering his second year with the Seminoles after starting his career at Florida. He played in FSU’s first four games before suffering a season-ending injury, he looked like their best lineman before going down.
Jackson is FSU’s top returning player and started all 13 games before earning All-ACC honorable mention recognition. He finished the year with 32 tackles, 4.0 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks. The Seminoles are counting on him having a big season along the defensive line.
