The No. 10 Florida State softball team has won its 20th ACC Championship after taking down the No. 3-seeded Virginia Tech Hokies in a 2-1 classic. With that, the Seminoles are now waiting for their seed to be revealed for the upcoming NCAA Softball Tournament.
As a result of their excellent performance during the tournament, several FSU players have been named to the All-ACC Tournament Team. Pitcher Jazzy Francik was named the MVP of the tournament after allowing just one earned run in 11.2 innings pitched. She recorded an ERA of 0.77 and held opponents to a .154 batting average.
Jaysoni Beachum, Ashtyn Danley, and Isa Torres joined her on the All-ACC Tournament Team. Their four selections were the most of any team, with Virginia Tech putting three. Beachum, Danley, and Torres have each been individually named to the various ACC Player of the Week awards for their stellar performances throughout the season.
Florida State will find out its seed in the NCAA Tournament when the Selection Show airs on ESPN2 at 6 p.m. ET. The Seminoles have locked up a top 16 seed and are awaiting to see if they can sneak into the top eight.
