Florida A&M baseball moved past its recent struggles against Alabama A&M.
After two consecutive series losses, the Rattlers traveled to Huntsville for their final regular-season Southwestern Athletic Conference series against the Alabama A&M Bulldogs.
FAMU (22-22, 17-8 in SWAC) returned to Tallahassee unblemished, sweeping Alabama A&M (10-39, 4-21 in SWAC) in a series that ran from Thursday, May 7, until Saturday, May 9, at Bulldog Field.
The Orange and Green scored a 9-8 win on Thursday, won 6-2 on Friday, and completed the slate with a 10-3 win.
FAMU had a player with three runs in each game, starting with Jay Campbell, then Jordan Brown, and lastly William Brown.
Pitchers Clark Lincoln, Caleb Granger, and Garrett Workman all earned wins over the weekend.
As of Sunday, May 10, FAMU is No. 3 in the SWAC with a week remaining in the regular season.
Next, the Rattlers are hosting Texas Southern (21-19, 15-9 in SWAC), which is looking to move up from the No. 5 spot in the SWAC before the league tournament starts on May 20 in Birmingham.
The FAMU-Texas Southern series begins on Thursday, May 14, at 5 p.m. Eastern Time. Friday, May 15’s game also starts at 5 p.m., with Saturday’s first pitch at 1 p.m.
