Former FSU Seminoles defensive lineman L A Jessie Harrold has signed with the UCF Knights, according to Chris Hummer of CBS Sports.
Harrold spent just one season with the Seminoles, his only appearance was against the Wake Forest Demon Deacons, and he recorded one pressure in three snaps. He will have four seasons of eligibility with the Knights.
The Tampa native was a late addition to FSU’s 2025 recruiting class, having been committed to the LSU Tigers for most of his recruitment. He backed off that pledge in late November and signed with the Seminoles in December.
He was ranked as the No. 217 overall player and No. 22 edge in the 247Sports composite. He was also the No. 33 player from Florida. He was FSU’s fourth-highest-ranked commit, only trailing running back Ousmane Kromah, defensive linemen Kevin Wynn, and wide receiver Jayvan Boggs.
247Sports ranks him as the No. 406 overall player and No. 51 edge rusher in the transfer portal. He is one of 24 transfers that UCF has signed as they look to bounceback after going 5-7 in Scott Frost’s first year back in charge.
Harrold is one of 11 defensive linemen that has entered or are threatening to enter the transfer portal after FSU’s 2025 season. So far, their only addition is Ryan Kennedy.
