Former Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz will soon be a father.
Gaetz’s wife, Ginger Luckey, announced that the couple was expecting their first child together via a social media post on X on Tuesday.
“Baby Gaetz coming 2025,” she wrote in the post, which was shared along with a photo of the couple standing together showing off her baby bump and a sonogram.
Gaetz, 43, resigned from his role as U.S. representative of Florida’s first congressional district after news broke that he was being considered as Trump’s pick for U.S. Attorney General.
Gaetz’s nomination was plagued by allegations of sexual misconduct and illicit drug use, which Gaetz has vehemently denied. A House Ethics Committee was investigating the allegations, but that investigation was thrown into disarray when Gaetz resigned from Congress after being nominated.
