PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. — The most coveted job in Bay County boys soccer is now filled, as former Bay High boys soccer head coach Mike Chrivia inherits one of Florida’s premier high school programs with some of the biggest shoes in the state to fill.
Chrivia joins following the departure of Jonathan Hammond, who stepped down after 10 seasons to accept the head coaching position at Bay High, his alma mater.
Under Hammond, Arnold compiled a 187-23-15 record, including a remarkable 75-game home winning streak at Gavlak Stadium. During his decade leading the program, the Marlins won three FHSAA state championships in 2021, 2024 and 2025, captured the 2024 MaxPreps national championship and reached the state final four five times.
Arnold also won five regional championships, nine district titles and 10 Bay County championships during Hammond’s tenure, cementing its status as one of Florida’s elite boys soccer programs.
Chrivia at Bay High finished 8-10-3 last season.
